The Southern Oregon Coast is one of the best places for an adventure elopement– in my opinion.

From towering sea stacks to sprawling beaches to towering old growth forests, it is hard to choose the best scenery.

The beauty of elopements is that you can really tailor them to fit your personality exactly. And Jacqui and Marc did exactly that. Without the fuss and fickleness of a wedding guest list, they were able to take it slow and really emphasize parts of the day that are meaningful to them.

Those parts were a slow day starting with a warm, cozy breakfast, then a moody, romantic evening at Harris Beach.

Harris beach is like a labyrinth of rocks and sea stacks that create a truly dramatic coastline. And paired with the looming fog that frequents the southern Oregon Coast… just a deliciously moody scene.

Elopements do not have to be long hikes to remote locations. If you look on Pinterest, you might fall victim to that illusion. And while I am a big big fan of a long long walk… I’m also here to help you plan a day that fits your relationship’s unique story and captures your vibe.

Taking the time to really think about what you want, and what kind of day would make you happiest for your elopement is crucial.

Wedding trends abound from year to year. One year it’s burnt orange and sage, naked cakes, arch motifs… then next it’s plum, alternatives desserts and disco balls… it is SO difficult not to get swept up in the trendiness of weddings. And while opting to elope removes you from a large portion of that, there are still trends in the elopement sphere. Whether it’s dress styles, locations, or activities, the internet and social media are set on influencing you a certain way.

But if you take that time to reflect and be honest with yourself, you’ll end up with a day that is a true reflection of you.

Would you like a cozy morning coffee session? Or a visit to a dive bar? A board game by the fire? A canoe trip down a river? Fly a kite on a windy beach? Rent a dune buggy?

My best advice for folks planning adventure elopements is to quit comparing your day to other people’s. That couple on instagram might have met on the Pacific Crest Trail, so an 8 mile hike makes sense for them… but a cup of hot chocolate is just as worthy of celebration if you spend time tasting artisan cocoa together every winter.

Jacqui has a very glamorous vibe and loves to model for her friends. And the two of them love to cook breakfast and have a slow morning together. This was the perfect representation of their love.

Nothing is off limits, and everything about your love and relationship is worth celebrating.
