This Brookings Elopement has that classic moody Oregon Coast vibe
Secret Beach is one Oregon’s least well-kept secret. It is quite a popular spot, but that’s because it’s quite beautiful.
Sea stacks with trees growing atop them, rugged cliffs, a secluded beach, and even a tiny waterfall make Secret Beach a very scenic and classically “Oregon” destination.

The Oregon Coast is chock full of places to elope, so narrowing it down when deciding where to have your ceremony can be difficult. Brookings, OR is the Southernmost town on the Oregon Coast, and it is one of my favorite places in Oregon.
Crystal clear rivers, old growth forests, azalea bushes, and the aforementioned rugged coastline– quite the ideal elopement destination.
Secret Beach is always a spot that I recommend to folks who are eyeing the Southern Oregon Coast. Mostly because if you’re thinking about it, you’ve likely seen photos of it, and are already thinking about it.

Hannah and Misos had a cute, simple ceremony at Secret Beach.
Portraits on the picturesque outcropping, then down to the sand to play in the water. There is an interesting rock formation that sort of divided the beach in two. We ventured to the other side in order to find a bit more privacy for the vow exchange.
As is rather customary during August and July, an evening fog rolled in, casting the classic moody vibe that folks are often seeking when they come to the Oregon Coast.
I personally find the evening fog quite beautiful, and it is an important part of the ecosystem– without the coastal fog, the redwood forests just South of Brookings wouldn’t survive or thrive. So I feel grateful for the fog 🙂

I absolutely adore the Oregon Coast, and I especially love leading people through its beautiful and diverse ecosystems. Along your elopement planning journey, I’d be honored to help curate and capture your adventure elopement in Oregon or the greater Pacific Northwest.

I have a background in outdoor guiding and ecology, which I think gives me a unique angle in planning adventure elopements for people. My favorite thing in the world is helping people connect more deeply with nature, and I love helping others do it on their Best Day Ever.
