I live in Bend, Oregon now, but spent some time living in Eastern Oregon, doing plant and bird surveys in the desert.
Eastern Oregon's mountains and deserts go largely un-talked about by a vast majority of folks— when people think of Oregon, they think of lush forests and gorgeous coastline...
But Oregon is actually mostly desert, and it is SO UNDERUTILIZED in the realm of adventure elopements.

I live in Oregon, and have spent days (weeks) exploring the crazy amazing variety of landscapes that exist here.
Beaches, coastal cliffs, hot springs, volcanoes, alpine lakes, mossy forests, vast deserts, gushing waterfalls, craggy mountains...
Oregon really does have it all— anything you could possibly want for an adventure elopement.
The variety of landscapes in and around Bend, Oregon is amazing. Coniferous forests, crystal clear rivers, sprawling lava beds, alpine lakes... just to name a few.
Natural wonders abound in the streams and canyons. River otters play eagles soar.
